Hello all,
Through feedback at the club AGM and to facilitate other requests of its’ members, Edinburgh Kendo club will be adjusting the training date & times week commencing 12th Spetmeber.
Training times as follows;
Adults:
Tuesday session will hold last session on the 6th September. Thereafter, Monday evening will take it’s place as of 12th September with no change to times, i.e. Monday evening Keiko – 19:00 – 21:00
Kids:
There is also a change to the times for the juniors [kids] club;
Commencing a half hour later, the kids club will start at 18:30 running through to 19:30, overlapping the adult class.

EKC Dojo Leader, Steve Bishop and ECK member Kristián Dela Cour attended the 3rd Northern Open Taikai (3 person team) event, held in Newcastle. Their team was made up by a wandering Welsh Kendoka, Andre Le Roux (3rd Dan),
All participants had a great day out, even though the start was rather early (05:30 rise). Lots of Shiai for all as the pools were decided by using a round robin system. And for some, lots of referee-ing too.
The gold medals were eventually fought out between Taiseidokia A team (Glasgow) v GB A with Taiseidokia taking the honours after a hard fought match.
Steve, Kristián & Andre came third in their pool and got knocked out shortly after but nonetheless, they had a great time and fought well.

It was many years ago this fellow came to stay in Edinburgh to study for a degree. Many years on, he is now ready to leave and return home to Korea.
Mr Park will be missed.
Edinburgh Kendo Club wish him the very best of luck in the next step of his journey and look forward to the day he crosses our doorstep again.
